Over the past months, Gwinnett residents have gained everything from a new nail salon to a clinic that addresses sports-related heel pain (among other things).

In the interest of staying abreast of these new developments, see below for a selection of businesses that have received ribbon-cutting ceremonies this month, per the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce website.

Groundbreaking: Oct. 25

Address: 3595 Buford Highway

The museum will begin a project to increase covered exhibit space by nearly double. The project was funded by $500K from a federal transportation equity grant and more than $400K in local contributions.

Ribbon-cutting: Oct. 21

Address: 1500 Peachtree-Industrial Blvd

Owners Michael Pham and Quan Tat opened this Suwanee location "on the premise that consumers desperately wanted an alternative to the dull, indistinct, unsanitary 'chop shop' nail salons that are all too common in the industry," according to the website.

Ribbon-cutting: Oct. 14

Address: 299 Scenic Highway

Alex Quilis, a Dacula homeowner, has been a licensed State Farm agent since 2012. His office opened in September.

Ribbon-cutting: Oct. 12

Address: 3425 Buford Drive

The network of podiatry services has 23 offices throughout Georgia, and the Buford location opened Sept. 12. The practicing physician on staff, Dr. Jenna Song, will treat anything from an ingrown toenail to a condition that requires full reconstructive surgery.

Ribbon-cutting: Oct. 10

Address: 601A Professional Drive

This is the second office for the vein treatment clinic, which also has one in Sandy Springs. Though the Lawrenceville office opened back in January, the ribbon-cutting was held this month.

Ribbon-cutting: Oct. 6

Address: 3100 Club Drive

The retirement community in Lawrenceville recently opened assisted living and memory care wings. The Delmar Gardens Family — which was established in 1965 — offers nursing care facilities across the state, including Delmar Gardens of Smyrna.
