ORIGINAL STORY: A popular Midtown restaurant failed a recent health inspection, with officials noting heavy food debris and dirt buildup on equipment and floors throughout the venue.
The Lawrence, located at 905 Juniper St., scored a 42/U following the Dec. 29 evaluation.
The restaurant was inspected at least five times in 2016. It scored a 53/U on Nov. 15, which was followed by an A. In February it scored a C; in March, an A.

According to the recent report, there was medicine, personal headphones and drinks stored on a prep table.
Officials also reported the person in charge failed to demonstrate knowledge of, or perform duties specified in, the food code.
A voicemail left with the restaurant was not immediately returned.
Follow-up inspections are generally completed within 10 days of the original evaluation.
