Owners of the iconic 15-story tower at Spaghetti Junction agreed Tuesday to clean up the rundown property and accept fines.
According to News 95.5 and AM 750 WSB, the $7,250 in fines are deferred 180 days while the owners try to sell the former Presidential Hotel. They must clean and maintain the property in the meantime and send bi-monthly reports to DeKalb County inspectors.
Vincent Lu and Habib Osta, who have been feuding for years over the tower, couldn't come to an agreement last month with DeKalb officials on the violations. They faced as much as $34,000 in fines before Tuesday's court hearing.
The building was most recently a condo complex and has been vacant several years.
Some, including Commissioner Nancy Jester, see it as emblematic of the problems of blight troubling the county.
