Buying a paper shredder can be expensive, so it’s easy for papers to pile up in the homes of folks who don’t have one.

However, if you’re a resident of Johns Creek, you can get rid of all those sensitive documents for free soon.

On Saturday, Nov. 18, the city is partnering with Keep Johns Creek Beautiful and Panera Bread for a free document shredding event.

Crews at the event will also accept cooking fats, oils and grease for recycling, fluorescent bulbs and gently-used clothes and shoes. The clothing will be donated to the American Kidney Services.

The shredding will happen from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Panera Bread on 11715 Medlock Bridge Road.

There is a limit of 10 boxes per-customer.

For more information about the shredding and recycling event, contact Keep Johns Creek Beautiful at 770-551-7766, email info@knfb.org, or visit Keep Johns Creek Beautiful's website.
