A semi-truck driver was killed Wednesday afternoon in a crash with a box truck, officials said.

The crash happened on I-20 east in Morgan County, near mile marker 124, Morgan County Fire Chief Jeff Stone said.

The semi-truck caught fire and the driver was trapped inside, but officials don’t know what the cause of death was. The driver’s name was not released.

The people in the box truck were not injured.

No additional information was immediately available.
