Duluth’s Scott Hudgens Park parking and circulation project is complete with the exception of repairs to the existing split rail fence along the main road into the park. At the most recent city council work session, Duluth’s Parks Assistant Director John Keating shared that in lieu of repairing the fence, the city will install sturdy, short, vertical posts along the open drainage ditches. These bollards will be consistent with those installed at Bunten Road Park.

Approximately 130 bollards will be installed at a spacing of 8-feet on center. The city anticipates installation of the bollards, depending on design, will cost between $9,600 and $13,800. Funds will come from the existing project budget.
