After serving Roswell for more than 13 years, City Administrator Kay G. Love is leaving that post May 19 to take a job with the Georgia Municipal Association, city officials confirmed.
Love will be municipal operations consultant at the association. She has been the group’s city managers section president. She gave notice to Roswell on April 17 to provide time “to continue work on critical projects and to coordinate a transition plan with staff,” according to her letter of resignation.
The administrator supervises all city employees, eight departments and more than 30 offices and divisions, and develops and manages a $100 million budget, according to a posting on Roswell's jobs web page. The salary range is $120,039 to $192,062. Information: http://bit.ly/2p4m4xk
A graduate of Columbus State University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration and management, Love was named Roswell’s deputy city administrator in October 2003 and city administrator in February 2007.
“I am so appreciative of your support and the opportunities that have been afforded to me,” Love said in her letter of resignation. “I’ve had the honor and privilege to work alongside the most dedicated and talented staff anywhere in local government.”
