On an otherwise average Tuesday afternoon, rapper Quavo drove his McLaren 650S to Berkmar High School and surprised the boys’ basketball team with new pairs of custom LeBron 15 basketball shoes.

Quavo, who attended Berkmar and was a standout quarterback on its football team, showed up at the basketball team's afternoon practice and led the players to the locker room. The athletes screamed and jumped for joy as they admired their new shoes, custom designed with Berkmar's colors, red and navy. In an Instagram post, Quavo dubbed the custom kicks "Huncho Berkmar Brons."

“Keep it strong and everybody gonna win,” Quavo told the team in the locker room.

Quavo and athletic shoe store Finish Line coordinated the surprise with Berkmar’s principal, said Sloan Roach, a Gwinnett County Public Schools spokeswoman. Quavo worked with Finish Line to create the custom design, and the shoes are exclusive to Berkmar’s 14 varsity basketball players, Roach said.
