Police in Alpharetta are searching for a man who robbed a bank on Monday.

The suspect is described as a man standing 5 feet 8 inches, weighing about 180 pounds, wearing a black hat, dark sunglasses, and a red and black shirt.

According to a report, police responded to Regions Bank on North Point Parkway just after 3 p.m. on Monday.

Police spoke with a teller, who said the suspect approached the counter and said he needed to make a deposit. The suspect then presented a black pouch with a note sticking out of it that read “put all of the large bills in the bag” and “you have 30 seconds to do so and no one get shot.”

Police did not say if the suspect actually had a gun. No one was hurt in the robbery.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, walking through the front door and then running across North Point Parkway where he got in black vehicle in the Dave & Buster’s parking lot, police said.

Police did not say how much money the suspect got away with.

The FBI has been notified of the robbery.
