Police: Man killed for $20

Police say a DeKalb County man was fatally shot and robbed Tuesday night for $20.

Three men were arrested Wednesday for the shooting death of Henry Garcia, according to police and jail records.

Officers arrived at the Wynscape Apartments in the 2700 block of Shallowford Road near Atlanta on Tuesday just after 7 p.m. to find Garcia laying unconscious in the parking lot with a gunshot wound in his lower left hip, according to the police report.

Randy Randall Glover, Akeem Ryshi Lee and Jermaine Marquis Clark, all 21,  were each charged with murder and felony armed robbery for Garcia's death.

Witnesses told police they heard loud noises, then gunshots in the parking lot.

Three men wearing dark clothing confronted Garcia, witnesses told police. Shots were fired and the three men fled the area, running toward the apartment complex exit along the southbound access road that parallels I-85, police said.

The three men, including one with red, yellow and blue braided hair, had reportedly been seen earlier in the area in a green Ford Expedition

Upon checking his pockets, a relative who arrived shortly after the shooting found Garcia's wallet had been taken.

Police said $20 dollars was taken.

Garcia was taken to Grady Hospital where he later died, police said.

Clark, Glover and Lee are being held at the DeKalb County jail, and will go before a judge at a later date to determine whether they will be allowed bond.
