Milton police report that 10 vehicle were broken into between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Police did not give a specific location as to where these crimes occurred, but said they were in the Deerfield MPACT Zone. That includes homes near Deerfield Parkway and Ga. Highway 9, according to a city spokesperson.

Police said three of those cases involved the suspect breaking into a garage too, by using a garage door opener. Some household items were stolen.

A release from the city says that police are “confident” that this is “not exclusive” to Milton, as other metro Atlanta police departments have dealt with similar crimes recently.

“Details indicate that this is part of a larger network of criminals rather than isolated individual acts,” police said in the release.

The release says Milton police actually gathered Tuesday afternoon after receiving information from neighboring departments, and discussed a “crime analysis strategy” to prepare.

Milton police say they will continue to gather details and that the department is “strategically deploying” all of its resources.

Anyone with information about these crimes can contact Milton police through the department's Facebook page.
