Sandy Springs police are searching for a man who witnesses say stole his girlfriend’s car and dragged the Cobb County woman across a CVS parking lot as he was trying to get away.
Police say the suspect, John Michael Kelly Cox, is still at large as of Wednesday, but they did recover the stolen vehicle – a 2012 Nissan Altima – after it was involved in a hit-and-run in Dunwoody around 8 p.m. on Monday. Police say Cox fled that scene on foot.

She told police as he was stealing it, she reached in the driver’s side window in an attempt to stop him, but Cox kept driving, which caused her to be dragged across the parking lot. The victim declined medical attention at the scene.
