A run or a walk through Piedmont Park just got a little safer thanks to landscaping done by the Piedmont Park Conservancy. Overgrown grass, shrubs and trash created a pedestrian hazard along the sidewalk on the north end of Piedmont Park. Piedmont Avenue towards the Monroe Drive entrance is now cleared of brush and trash build-up. Volunteers also removed invasive species. A decorative wall was installed to add another layer of curbside appeal.

The Kendeda Fund provided funding for the project which was designed by HGOR. The construction was completed by Gibson Landscape. The Piedmont Park Conservancy is in conversation with the City of Atlanta about the completion of the sidewalk improvement surrounding the north end of Piedmont Park, according to the organization.
