The Peachtree Corners Department of Public Works is preparing to keep roads “open, passable and safe” during this weekend’s forecasted snowstorm, city spokeswoman Judy Putnam said.

The department’s workers will coordinate with the Gwinnett County and Georgia departments of transportation to spread sand and “do whatever else is necessary to keep the roads open,” Putnam said.

Public Works crews will also be on hand to clear debris from the roads, including any fallen trees.

The city is monitoring weather patterns and has not made any decisions regarding office closures or event cancellations.
