Peachtree City has amended its ordinance regarding special events to better define what constitutes such gatherings. The City Council voted 5-0 on Sept. 21 to formally define special events as any organized activity meant for entertainment or recreation that takes place on non-residential private property but impacts government services on rights-of-way or impacts the health, safety or welfare of the public.

Senior Planner Robin Cailloux said the revised ordinance retains previous rules regarding permits, signage and alcohol. Special events permits will be limited to four per year per site.
