A woman found dead in the yard of a Roswell home died as a  result of strangulation and blunt force trauma to the head, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office.

Karen Lee LaForge, 53, was found near the side of a house Tuesday afternoon after a man inside a home on Tyson Circle called 911.

The death is considered a homicide. Police had not made any arrests as of Monday morning.

LaForge, originally from New Hampshire, loved photography, the outdoors and cooking for her three children, according to an online obituary.

Police at the scene said they’re treating the incident as a homicide investigation.
