This is a roundup of recent crimes of note in north Fulton County. It is based on arrest warrants, police reports and jail records. At this point, these are allegations by law enforcement. For crimes in Sandy Springs, some of these reports are from Capt. Steve Rose’s “Weekly Wrap Up.”
Robbing in style
On Feb. 6, a man wearing red pants, red shoes and purple gloves robbed a Waffle House in Sandy Springs at gunpoint. The man escaped the Northridge Road diner on foot with a small amount of cash, police said. No one was harmed in the robbery, police said.
Tint lands woman in jail
A woman who was in the country illegally was arrested in Alpharetta on Feb. 10, according to a police report. An officer pulled the 2000 Ford Expedition the woman was driving over around 8:30 a.m. that morning because he suspected her window tint was too dark, which it was by Georgia law, according to the report. Police then found the woman was driving with a license from North Carolina that expired in 2012. Police said she declined to inform her consulate that she was arrested and was transported to a Fulton jail.

What’s the real crime?
Police arrested a man in Alpharetta on Feb. 7 after he was caught stealing four pairs of sweatpants from an Abercrombie and Finch store on the 2000 block of Northpoint Circle. The sweatpants, for just four pairs, were valued at a total of $271.61, according to the police report.
Free lawn care
A woman was arrested at a Home Depot in Sandy Springs on Feb. 6 after she was caught shoplifting, police said. The suspect had power tools, hedge trimmers, a chainsaw and other items. The woman told police she was working with others to sell the tools in Atlanta.
Purse swiped at Kroger
Police in Alpharetta are looking for two suspects who distracted a shopper and then stole her wallet on Feb. 1. The victim told Channel 2 Action News that the incident happened at the Kroger on Crabapple Road. Her wallet was missing and her American Express card had been used twice for a total more than $770.
