Officials from the City of Milton said that cleanup from Winter Storm Benji could take up to 60 days.

Over the span of a weekend earlier this month, some parts of metro Atlanta were hit with up to a foot of cold white stuff.

Milton says the storm left debris scattered along several public roads. Cleaning up those roads will be the city’s priority.

"As most may be aware, the City of Milton has limited in-house public works staff and contracts with third-party vendors to provide services such as landscaping and roadway work," a release from the city said.

City officials said its staff is working on going through the administrative process so work can begin on removing that debris.

The city will not be clearing debris from any private property.
