Bottoms up, Lilburn — your city council approved a new package store Monday night.

According to information released by the city, the council unanimously approved a package store license for "Branded Barrel 1, LLC," which hopes to do business at 735 Pleasant Hill Road. Officials described the location as "the outparcel in front of the former Lowe's."

Lilburn's alcohol review board approved the license application last week but, because one had never been issued at the location, it had to get the city council's approval, too.

The owner now has to apply for a state alcohol license. A possible timeframe for that process was not clear Tuesday morning.
