Comcast officially opened its southeast headquarters May 26, in Peachtree Corners’ Wells Building, a 10-story office building at 6200 The Corners Parkway.
Last year Gov. Nathan Deal, in partnership with Georgia Department of Economic Development and Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development, announced that Comcast, the nation’s largest video, high-speed Internet and phone provider to residential customers, had selected Peachtree Corners, as the site of its new regional headquarters, adding 150 new jobs and relocating the company’s existing 532 full-time local employees.
The company renovated 88,000 square feet on four floors of the Peachtree Corners office building and last fall moved from its former location to state-of-the-art facilities which included a high-tech demonstration lab, and a Comcast University space for employee training and continuing education.
Comcast is one of Georgia’s largest employers operating nearly 190 facilities around the state.
