2 more charged in DeKalb with stealing jail inmates' identities

DeKalb County police arrested two more people in connection with an identity theft scheme allegedly operating out of the county jail, Channel 2 Action News reports.

Takeisha Randolph and Charles Daniely both face fraud charges, authorities said.

Earlier, police arrested jail technician Adriara Addison and charged her with using inmates’ Social Security numbers to file false tax returns and pocketing the refunds.

Addison’s boyfriend, Robbie Sims, also was arrested.

Both were charged with identity theft.

Sims was driving Addison's car on Sept. 14 when he was pulled over by DeKalb police, said DeKalb sheriff's spokesman Adrion Bell. He was arrested for failing to appear on a burglary charge and was also wanted for a probation violation in Gwinnett County.

By dating a known felon, Addison, was already violating county policy, Bell said. She was told to end the relationship but didn't. A subsequent investigation turned up surveillance audio of Addison and Sims discussing their alleged scam.

Addison, whose mother and stepfather work in the DeKalb jail, was released on $6,000 bond Monday. Bell said the investigation continues and up to two more arrests could follow.
