UPDATE: The restaurant passed a Friday re-inspection with a 95/A. It incurred five new violations, including the person in charge failing to wear a hair restraint.
ORIGINAL STORY (published Sept. 27): A Chinese restaurant failed a recent health inspection, Fulton County records show.
MuLan in Midtown scored a 50/U following the Thursday evaluation. Scores below 70 are considered failing. Its prior score from May 2016, was a 91.
According to the report, the person in charge “failed to demonstrate knowledge by complying with food code and not conducting any foodborne illness risk factors.”
Officials also reported an employee preparing food without a hair restraint and a failure to properly clean food containers.
Manager Andy Lim told Channel 2 Action News he has retrained employees and corrected all of the violations.
Follow-up inspections are generally completed within 10 days of the original evaluation.
