“Lap dogs come in all shapes and sizes! From cuddly cats to 70-pound pitties, we have some of the best lap dogs around!”

So says Lifeline Animal Project, the nonprofit that runs the DeKalb County animal shelter.

With the above sentiment in mind, the shelter shared some staff picks of adoptable pets.

The one up top is Cider.

He went on a walk the other day with some volunteers, who said he was "super sweet and playful, loved to roll around in the grass, walks great on a leash, and was great with kids!" Meet him at the DeKalb County Animal Services location.

Here comes Savant, in the white and gold. Despite that stare, they say she’s “the biggest love bug you have ever seen! She rolls on her back and side for rubs and affection!”

She also has a heart murmur and takes medicine, so she needs a quiet home. Meet her at the LifeLine Cat Adoption Center.

Let’s try Piggles. Yeah, Piggles. Got a problem?

Actually, in spite of his attitude in the below photo, he's supposed to be "just as fun and spunky as his name." He loves walks and playing catch with a ball. Meet him at him the Avondale Estates location.
