UPDATE: The CVS at 520 Boulevard SE near Grant Park was open and back to its regular hours on Monday, April 10. A manager at the store told the AJC that the pharmacy and the store front was fully open and the store was back to operating at 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

ORIGINAL STORY (published April 6): A large tree toppled over and fell on a CVS Pharmacy in the Grant Park neighborhood of Atlanta on Thursday afternoon.

Those at the scene said the tree fell at about 4:45 p.m. Cortez Stafford, the public information officer for the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department, said the store and vehicles in the parking lot were damaged, but he wasn’t sure how many vehicles were impacted.

No injuries were reported.

Stafford said the store was evacuated and firefighters were checking the stability of the building at 5:29 p.m. on Thursday.

Regular hours for this CVS at 520 Boulevard SE, are 24 hours seven-days-a-week for the store front, while the pharmacy is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Calls from the AJC to the CVS went unanswered Thursday evening and were not immediately returned.
