They hadn’t even been dating two weeks.
But, according to DeKalb County prosecutors, Dominique Richardson was possessive and jealous already with Taylor Holcombe, a 22-year-old with a smile of brilliant white.
On Oct. 24, 2015, he pulled a gun on her while driving her car near the intersection of Glenwood Road and Meadow Lane near Shoal Creek Park.
Terrified, Holcombe jumped from the car.

“After crashing into a pole, the defendant exited the vehicle and chased his girlfriend down the street, shooting her once in the back of the head as she tried to escape,” the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release last week. “The victim collapsed in the roadway.”
She was hit by a car while her new boyfriend ran away.
Now the 27-year-old is awaiting his place in state prison after being convicted in late March of murder.
Richardson, who’s been in county jail since the killing, was sentenced by Judge Mark Anthony Scott to life without parole, plus five years.
