A man is recovering from a gunshot wound in the neck after a Sunday night fight, Gwinnett County police said.

Manuel Martinez was approached by two suspects outside Las Costas Nayaritas, a Mexican restaurant in Duluth, around 10:43 p.m. Sunday, police said. They got into a “physical altercation” before one suspect shot Martinez as he was running toward Pleasant Hill Road, according to a release.

Gwinnett police confirmed Martinez’s identity Monday afternoon, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Both suspects ran from the scene and were not found during an initial search. No description was provided for either of them, but police said more information will be provided when it becomes available.

Martinez, 25, was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center in Duluth, and he is expected to survive.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
