A 28-year-old man was shot and killed in Clayton County on Wednesday.

Police responded to a home in the 500 block of Roxbury Drive near Riverdale and found the man unresponsive with a gunshot wound, Clayton police Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said.

Officers performed CPR on the man until emergency workers arrived and took him to a local hospital.

The man died at the hospital, Marbury said.

“Detectives are working strong leads at this time and the preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting is an isolated incident,” she said. “The name of the victim is being withheld until additional information can be obtained.”
