The staff at the Cobb Parkway PNC Bank had just opened Monday when an odd-looking man walked in.

It was a would-be robber wearing a latex mask with hopes of getting some easy money. But it didn’t work out like that.

There was no money yet in the tellers’ cash drawers at 9:40 a.m.

“Apparently the perpetrator did not want to wait around once he found out there was no money readily available,” said Sgt. Dana Pierce, Cobb police spokesman.

After the realization, the almost-robber left heading toward Vinings Junction Shopping Center and drove away in an unidentified vehicle.

Police didn’t have more of a description of the impatient man other than what he was wearing at the time: a gray hoodie and gray athletic pants.
