Gwinnett County police are looking for a man who decided to rob a Peachtree Corners gas station at gunpoint instead of paying for his 12-pack of Bud Light.

The unidentified man walked into the Texaco station on Medlock Bridge Road at 6:30 p.m. Sunday and picked up the case of beer before asking the cashier for two packs of cigarettes. He pulled out a gun while the clerk was grabbing the cigarettes, police said.

When the cashier turned around, the man pointed the gun at him and told him to open the register and place it on the counter. The cashier complied.

The man grabbed the cash, cigarettes and beer and walked out of the door. He drove off in a tan, older model Toyota 4Runner.

Police described the suspect as a 6-foot-tall man weighing about 200 lbs. He had a dark beard and a tattoo on his right forearm.

Anyone with information on this suspect is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
