Lawrenceville continues to discover aging infrastructure as the process of installing a water line on South Perry Road continues. Similar to problems found on South Clayton Road, a contractor excavating around the storm drainage system in South Perry found an old, failing system. The limit of the failure was determined and the city has obtained an estimated not-to-exceed cost of $150,115 for the repair.

Based on the city staff’s recommendations, the Lawrenceville City Council approved the emergency storm drain repair at its most recent council meeting held April 3. GS Construction Inc. is the contractor for the project and funds will come from the city’s Stormwater Fund Budget.
