A 67-year-old man was killed Sunday after a CSX freight train struck his car in DeKalb County, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The train was traveling from Atlanta to Social Circle about 6:35 p.m. when it hit the car at the grade crossing at North Clarendon and East Ponce de Leon avenues in Scottsdale, the television station reported.

The man’s name has not been released pending notification of kin, DeKalb police Maj. Stephen Fore told Channel 2.

At the time of the crash, the train was transporting paper products, plastics, fertilizer and other industrial products.

DeKalb fire and CSX officials responded to the crash.
