massive new DeKalb County commercial center is less than a month away from opening up to shoppers, the city of Tucker announced.

The Tucker Meridian project is at the intersection of Lavista Road and Northlake Parkway, near I-285. It will include at least eight well-known businesses and will be anchored by Sprouts Farmers Market, which has announced a grand opening date of April 26.

Sprouts will be the first retailer to open, but others won’t be far behind.

DSW is looking at mid-May for its grand opening, the city said. Dick’s Sporting Goods, Hobby Lobby and others are nearing completion.

Also coming to the center are Ross Dress for Less, Einstein Bros./Caribou Coffee, Jimmy John’s and Newk’s Eatery, the city said.

A new light is going in to help ease traffic. It’ll be on Northlake Parkway and is scheduled for installation the last week of April.
