Jane Fisher, of Buford, used a trapeze to conquer her fear of heights on “Good Morning America” on Friday.

Buford resident Jane Fisher couldn’t climb more than four rungs up a ladder before freezing in fear until Friday.

Fisher traveled to Connecticut to conquer her lifelong fear of heights on “Good Morning America.” She faced her severe acrophobia on the morning show’s “Conquer Your Fears” segment.

At a trapeze school in Mystic, Connecticut, Fisher worked with a therapist to do “exposure therapy,” pushing her to work through her anxiety and climb a ladder to a 21-foot platform.

When she reached the platform, GMA host Michael Strahan asked Fisher if she was ready to take the last step in conquering her fear: jumping from the platform and swinging on a trapeze.

“I’m ready to fly,” Fisher told Strahan.

With that, she jumped and swung through the air.

When she returned to the ground, she was rewarded with a T-shirt and trophy for conquering her fear.

Watch Fisher fly here.
