Sanitation workers will attempt to collect trash Thursday that was scheduled to be picked up Wednesday, a Gwinnett County spokeswoman said.

Trash collection was postponed Wednesday after the county was coated in more than an inch of snow and ice covered roads. Many roads began to clear Thursday, making it safer for trash collection to resume.

Garbage will be collected on a one-day delay for the rest of the week, Heather Sawyer said. Wednesday trash will be collected Thursday, Thursday trash will be collected Friday and Friday trash will be collected Saturday.

This only applies to Gwinnett County trash and recycling customers. Those who live within city limits should check with their city, Sawyer said.
