The Suwanee location of the Tilted Kilt failed its second health inspection this year, Gwinnett County records show.
The “breastaurant” scored a 50/U on the Oct. 9 inspection. A health inspector found cockroaches and flies in the kitchen, as well as pesticides not approved for use in a food service establishment.
Ready-to-eat foods, including chicken and salsa, were more than a week old, and employees were seen handling food on customer’s plates with bare hands, the report says. One employee was seen handling ready-to-eat food containers directly after handling raw hamburger meat without washing his hands.
Multiple repeat violations were also noted by the inspector: a sanitizer bucket was kept in a handwashing sink, dirty utensils were stored in the clean dish area and employee drinks were in unapproved containers in the kitchen and at the bar, the report says.
Tilted Kilt did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The restaurant, known for its female servers’ skimpy uniforms, earned a 67/U on its May 30 inspection.
Re-inspections are typically conducted within 10 days of failure.
