A Gwinnett pho restaurant failed its health inspection Monday in part because previous health inspectors had given them incorrect directions for printing their menus, a manager said.
Super Pho in Duluth received a 66/U on its inspection. One of the violations listed on the report was an incorrect advisory for raw foods — Super Pho's advisory was missing the "disclosure" portion and was not printed in all caps, which is required.
Manager Nam Nguyen said that the menus were just fine when a different inspector evaluated the restaurant in July, when they were given a nearly perfect score of 98/A.
“Last time it was fine. The inspector approved the menus, so we invested in printing 5,000 of them,” Nguyen said. “When the health inspectors come in we trust them, but their information is inconsistent. It is very frustrating for our directors. We are very proud of our work. We have an open kitchen and we are very clean.”

Other violations noted in the report included washing a scoop in the handwashing sink and not having paper towels next to the handwashing sink.
Super Pho opened in May, featuring an eight-pound bowl of pho. The giant serving of Vietnamese noodle soup costs $40, but if you finish the whole thing, it's free.
