A Gwinnett County man was charged with sexual battery after allegedly groping an employee at the hotel where he was staying with his wife.

Miguel Moreno-Gutierrez was arrested Monday and bailed out of jail the same day.

Moreno-Gutierrez had asked a front desk employee at the Residence Inn in Duluth to show him where the hotel sold snacks. As she led him to the area, he grabbed her buttocks, a police report said. She told him to stop, according to the report.

Moreno-Gutierrez then asked the employee to take him to the back parking lot, the report said. As she opened the door, he grabbed her buttocks again and she shouted “No,” at him, the report said. She then called police.

Moreno-Gutierrez smelled of alcohol when a police officer knocked on his hotel room door, the report said.

Alcohol was listed as a factor in the incident on the police report.

Moreno-Gutierrez denied touching the front desk worker, but the officer placed him under arrest.
