Librarygoers will soon be able to access the Lawrenceville branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library for two more hours each day.

The Lawrenceville branch will have Open+ access until 10 p.m. seven days a week starting on Oct. 30, according to a news release. The library launched Open+ in June 2016, allowing library cardholders aged 18 and older to access the building beyond normal operating hours.

The program initially allowed Open+ members to access the Lawrenceville branch at 8 a.m., two hours before the building’s official opening time, 10 a.m. Now users can access the library for two hours after the official closing time, which is 8 p.m.

All visitors need to do to gain Open+ access is to have a library card and register at no cost. To access the building during Open+ hours, registered users must enter a PIN and swipe their library card.
