A Meadowcreek High School track coach has been charged with sexual assault after a student accused him of touching and kissing her genitals while helping her stretch a groin muscle.

Ronnie Tenille Jackson was arrested May 18 and is free on $22,200 bond, Gwinnett County jail logs show.

Jackson taught health and physical education at Meadowcreek High School in addition to serving as a track coach from Aug. 1, 2016 to April 28. Jackson resigned a week after the alleged abuse was reported.

Jackson texted the student to meet him in the school’s training room on April 20 so he could help stretch her groin, a police report said. The student had injured her left groin muscle at a track meet.

As Jackson stretched and massaged the student’s groin muscle, he moved his hand up her leg and touched “between her legs,” the report said. He then asked the student if she wanted him to “kiss [the] boo boo to make it feel better,” the report said. The student believed he was joking and replied “If it make it feel better,” according to the report. Jackson then kissed the girl’s groin three times, she told police.

Gwinnett County Public Schools Police were called to the school the next day. The student had told her friend what allegedly happened, and the friend told the student’s parents. The parents told the school, and school officials contacted police.

Jackson is one of three teachers arrested on sexual assault charges involving a student in the past three days. A Parkview High School teacher and a long-term substitute teacher at Providence Christian Academy have also been arrested. They both also served as coaches.
