A Milton homeowner’s decision to pursue a suspect who was rummaging through his barn led to the suspect’s arrest, police told Channel 2 Action News.

After Dante Ragghianti learned an intruder was on his property, he got in his truck, with his son at the wheel, and chased David Lummus for a few miles.

Ragghianti said the chase was like something you’d see in a movie.

“Adrenaline was definitely pumping,” he told Channel 2.

The homeowner gave a tag number to Milton police, who arrested Lummus on felony burglary charges the next day.

Channel 2's Mike Petchenik reports.
