A screening for a movie about sex trafficking will be held a day after National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, during National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month.
The film, "8 Days," which is inspired by actual events, will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the North Springs Charter High School theater, according to a press release.
The free and public event is organized by the Brookhaven Rotary, along with the Rotary Clubs of Dunwoody, Sandy Springs and Atlanta.

The film will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Sandy Springs Police Chief Kenneth DeSimone, Dunwoody Police Chief Billy Grogan, Brookhaven Police Chief Gary Yandura, Director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Vernon Keenan, and a representative from an FBI task force.
It will be moderated by CNN journalist and North Springs parent Lisa Cohen. Cohen helps run the CNN Freedom Project, which has reported on and documented stories of human trafficking since 2011.
The high school is located at 7447 Roswell Road. Attendees may reserve seats on the Rotary Club of Brookhaven's website.
