If you’re a Sandy Springs resident who lives near a stream or creek, you might see someone walking near it between now and the end of the year.

That person is likely to be a representative from River-2-Tap, a Roswell-based firm that provides civil and environmental consulting and engineering services to public and private sector clients.

Sandy Springs has enlisted the firm to help it evaluate stream segments throughout the city.

The city is proactively conducting stream walks in an effort to identify and address issues that may be contributing to creek impairments and to better understand stream conditions.

The stream walks are expected to begin in late September and to conclude at the end of the year.
