Update: The restaurant was reinspected Monday and got a 99. See the new report here.

Original story:

A DeKalb county Steak ‘n Shake failed a recent health inspection after flies were reportedly found in the kitchen and ice machine.

The restaurant, located at 2839 N. Druid Hills Road, received a 69, according to the inspector's report.

Two flies were “nestled” in the ice machine, the report said, and found throughout the kitchen.

Also, the inspector took issue with food stored under a leaky pipe in the walk-in freezer.

"Leak is so severe that ice has completely encased boxes of food,” the report said.

Steak ‘n Shake’s spokesman wasn’t available for comment Friday, the company said.
