Know any promising young people in DeKalb County?

Leadership DeKalb is searching for applicants to its Emerging Leaders of DeKalb Class of 2017. The program is intended to expose young professionals to issues facing the county and equip them to help.

A cocktails social is set for Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Frazer Center-Atrium for those interested in learning more.

The program is for people from 25 to 34 years old.

Founded in 1986, Leadership DeKalb is a nonprofit that convenes and connects diverse leaders to inform them on vital issues in the community and, thus, enhance the county.

Attendees for Wednesday's event are asked to reserve their spot beforehand online.
