In early 2015, construction began on a new Midtown apartment tower.

This week, the first residents moved into Atlantic House, a 32-story high-rise tower at the corner of 14th and West Peachtree streets.

More than 13,000 square feet of retail will be occupied by McCray’s Tavern and a combined Einstein Bros. Bagels and Caribou Coffee scheduled to open in early 2017, according to a news release.

Atlanta-based Novare and Batson-Cook Development Co. partnered on the 407-unit project near the Woodruff Arts Center.

Jim Borders, Novare Group president, believes each resident (or "renter-by-choice") will appreciate amenities such as the SkyDeck on the top floor.

“We are thrilled to open Atlantic House, which continues Novare Group’s commitment to enhance Atlanta’s live-work-play destination, Midtown,” said Borders.

The building has "two roof-top pools, fitness center, clubroom, outdoor kitchen, business center and outdoor patio space as well as a grilling area, tennis court and dog park on top of the attached parking garage," the release said.
