New information has been revealed related to an incident that occurred in Wills Park on Tuesday in Alpharetta in which a woman fought off a man trying to sexually assault her.
Not only was the woman pushing her one-year-old child in a stroller when a man threatened her with a knife and pulled her into a horse barn, but the 23-year-old mother is also pregnant.
In the 911 call obtained by Channel 2 Action News, the mother described what happened in the attack.
“I was walking on the trail and he took me and came up behind me with a knife and put it up to my neck and told me to walk with him over near the barn,” the woman told a dispatcher on a 911 call. “I fought back and I got away from him.”
The mother told 911 that she pushed him away and he cut her with his knife and sprayed her with pepper spray. She says he “got scared and ran” when she started screaming.
Police said on Tuesday the woman was walking on a concrete path in Wills Park when the man grabbed her and took her to a barn at the equestrian center there.
“I have a baby with me already and I’m pregnant, so I took off,” the woman said in the call. “All I cared about was my kid. I thought he was running towards my kid.”
At press conference on Tuesday, police said the woman was treated by medical personnel on the scene and released on the scene.

Police have still not apprehended the suspect, but are confident they will soon.
George Gordon of the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety says the investigation continues and extra patrolling will also continue. Gordon added that Alpharetta police are working with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation on the case.
