A Steak ‘n Shake restaurant in the DeKalb County city of Stonecrest failed its recent health inspection.
The restaurant, located on Stonecrest Circle, received a 41 out of 100 after the inspector noted concerns including flies in the kitchen, according to the report.
A man who answered the phone at Steak ‘n Shake on Wednesday said, “there is no story” and hung up on a reporter.
The inspector’s report also notes employees handling ready-to-eat food with their bare hands and cross-contamination concerns.

The floor underneath cooking equipment had “excessive debris” and food was splattered on the walls and ceilings, the report said.
The restaurant had an 86 on its last check, in January, which followed a 62 days earlier.
Establishments that fail health checks generally are reinspected within 10 days.
