Quirky Avondale Estates eatery Pallookaville Fine Foods failed a recent health inspection with officials noting a variety of food temperature issues.
The Jan. 3 inspection resulted in a score of 68/U for the restaurant on the English Tudor-inspired strip, according to the inspector's report.
Among the violations noted was shredded cheddar, sliced provolone, sliced American cheese, sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce all stored at temperatures above 41 degrees.
Food was stored on the floor in the kitchen, the inspector said. The floor also had standing water and is designed in a way that isn’t helpful for cleaning, the report said.
A can opener was also noted as dirty.
Messages left with the restaurant seeking comment weren’t returned.
Establishments that fail health inspections are generally rechecked in 10 days.
