The winter storm that invaded Georgia last week caused a pipe to burst at Park Place, a senior center in Johns Creek.
Officials closed the center to repair the damage and didn’t have a timetable for when it would reopen.
In an email Monday officials with the center said they “anticipate” that Park Place will reopen on Feb. 5.

“We had hoped that we would reopen sooner, but repairs resulting from a burst pipe inside Park Place are taking a little longer,” the email stated. “We apologize for the inconvenience and we’re working to relocate as many activities and programs as possible to the Newtown Community Clubhouse.”
Temperatures in Johns Creek dipped to as low as 12 degrees last week, and some areas received about two inches of snow.
For folks signed up for programs or classes at Park Place email ParkPlace@JohnsCreekGA.gov or call 678-512-3430 with any questions.
