The United Methodist Children's Home is hosting its popular UMCH Flea Market on April 7 and 8.

Established in 1940, the flea market will be open to the public at 500 S. Columbia Drive in Decatur. The hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The home, which serves people in need in Decatur and across Georgia, hosts the large scale flea markets three times each year to help children and families. Each two-day event draws thousands of attendees.

The sale includes furniture, electronics, clothing, art, collectibles, jewelry, toys, CDs, books, appliances, sporting goods, plants and more. There’s also a bake sale.

In addition to current beneficiaries, the funds will be used to help the charity expand to other areas including Augusta, Rome, Dalton, LaGrange and Griffin.

The ministry specializes in foster care, family housing and transitional living.
